Program description

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a comprehensive four-year undergraduate degree program designed to prepare competent, compassionate, and professionally skilled nursing graduates. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skill development, clinical training, and evidence-based nursing practice.

Students receive comprehensive education in nursing sciences, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, health assessment, medical-surgical nursing, community health nursing, nursing ethics, leadership, and specialized clinical practice. Through structured clinical practicums and hands-on learning, students develop the knowledge, skills, and professional attitude required to provide safe and quality patient care.

The program is structured in accordance with applicable PNMC and HEC standards, preparing graduates for professional nursing practice and further academic and career development.

 Academic Structure

The program progressively develops students from foundational nursing concepts to advanced clinical practice, leadership, research, and professional nursing competencies.

Year 1: Fundamentals of Nursing, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Community Health Nursing

Year 2: Adult Health Nursing I & II, Pathophysiology, Health Assessment, Pharmacology, and Nursing Ethics

Year 3: Advanced clinical nursing specialties and skills-based coursework

Year 4: Senior clinical practicum, nursing leadership and management, research, and capstone project.

Entry requirement for BSN

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or equivalent qualification.
  • Compulsory Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks in F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or equivalent qualification.
  • Matriculation: Matriculation (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.
  • Age Requirement: Applicants should generally be 16–35 years of age, subject to applicable institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Candidates must fulfill all applicable PNMC, HEC, and institutional admission requirements.
  • Admission may be subject to merit, document verification, and any applicable admission/entry assessment.

  • F.Sc. Pre-Medical Certificate/Mark Sheet
  • CNIC/B-Form
  • Recent Passport-Size Photographs
