Program description

Monarch Institute of Science and Technology offers the Bachelor of Science (BS) program in Cyber Security, aligning with the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Undergraduate Education Policy objectives. Our program equips students with a strong foundation in digital forensics, network security, and threat mitigation skills, integrating competency-based learning, interdisciplinary knowledge, and ethical values. Emphasizing proactive defense and innovation, students gain practical experience through internships and hands-on security projects, preparing them for successful careers in the information security industry or advanced studies. We emphasize professional ethics, effective communication, and lifelong learning, ensuring graduates contribute responsibly to securing critical digital infrastructure and driving technological advancements.

Objectives

The Strategic objectives of the BS Cyber Security program are:

  1. Enlighten students with theoretical knowledge of Cyber Security, cryptography, and digital forensics.
  2. Enhance the secure programming and scripting skills of students by exposing them to multiple programming languages, security tools, paradigms, and technologies.
  3. Enhance the analytical and problem-solving skills of students to detect, analyze, and mitigate complex cyber threats.
  4. Enable students to add fruitful contributions to the field of Information Security and Cyber Defense.
  5. Provide students with a combination of core technical knowledge, hands-on laboratory experience, and application of defense theory to security architecture and risk assessment.
  6. Empower students with the future vision, ethical awareness, and utility of proactive Cyber Security measures.
  7. Inculcate and enhance research abilities of students in finding vulnerabilities and creating secure modern computing systems.
  8. Empower and enhance communication skills of the students to effectively convey technical risks, impact analysis, and security compliance strategies

Entry requirement for BS CYBER SECURITY

Eligibility Criteria

For Applicants having 12-year Education

  1. Minimum 50% marks in Intermediate/12 years education (HSSC) / ‘A’ Level or Equivalent qualification with Mathematics are required for admission.
  2. The students who have not studied Mathematics at Intermediate level have to pass Mathematics deficiency courses (06 Credit Hrs.) in the first two semesters.
  3. Candidates having ‘A’ level or Deeni Asnad or foreign qualification are required to provide equivalence certificate from IBCC or HEC, Islamabad as applicable.

  • F.Sc. Pre-Engineering Certificate/Mark Sheet
  • CNIC/B-Form
  • Recent Passport-Size Photographs
  • Domicile/PRC, where applicable
